Biography

Dottie Dunsmore, a successful portrait and figure sculptor, gained recognition as an original doll artist. Her dolls have premiered on the Home Shopping Network in America as well as Europe and to reproduction companies in America. Celebrities, collectors and private museums count her dolls as part of their collections.

Wishing to expand her knowledge and love of the fine arts, Dottie attended and graduated from the Schuler School of Fine Arts in Baltimore, Maryland. Her studies under the direction of master artist Ann Didusch Schuler formed her background in classical realism in the style of the Old Masters. Her sculpting under the direction of master sculptors Tylden Streett and Francesca Schuler Guerin has expanded her proficiency in the use of earth clay and knowledge of the human body.
